Over or Under for the Bills

It has been a few days since it was released that the line in Vegas for the Bills' win total will be at 6.5. This had me thinking the 6.5 total almost right on. I do not think we will be doom and gloom, but I do not think of us as a playoff team. As a matter of fact, I feel like we will be bad enough to miss the playoffs but good enough to draft around 10 next May.

I think there are a couple slam dunks for wins, and even more for losses. The following is the breakdown of how I think the season will go. I might revisit this in August once we know what will happen with the QB situation, the WR situation and  the Jairus Byrd situation.

WeekOpponentOutcomeWhy
1vs New EnglandLIf there is a game vs NE that we can win, I figure it is this one with a new coaching staff and new system, but come on, it is New England.
2vs CarolinaWI like Cam Newton, but Carolina to me is still missing a few parts to make them a solid playoff contender. Winable for us.
3at New York JetsWThe franchise is a wreck, the QB is a wreck, and we should (have) to exploit that.
4vs BaltimoreLRegardless of the huge roster turnover, I still envy the heck out of this franchise. I don't see any scenario where we beat the Ravens.
5at ClevelandWLike all Bills/Browns games, I have a feeling this will be a sleeper. As a matter of fact, I threw a dart to see who would win.
6vs CincinnatiLJames Harrison is the key to this game. I think AJ Green will torch us and our only chance is to match offense with offense.
7at MiamiLMiami is much improved from last year, but I do not think they are worlds better than us. I see a split here.
8at New OrleansLBrees to Graham all game long. To win, we will need to put up at least 35 points.
9vs Kansas CityWI have always picked Buffalo over Kansas City and I will again this year. Smith vs Kolb/Jackson/Manuel is a push. I still think we are slightly better
10at PittsburghLBig Ben always seems to pick us apart. Even with the team losing Harrison and Wallace, Jarvis Jones and Sanders can fill in the holes.
11vs New York JetsWSee Week 3,
12BYEBYEBYE
13vs Atlanta *LOur record is 1-4 in Toronto. We play against Matt Ryan, Roddy White, Tony Gonzalez and Stephen Jackson. This might be a bigger blowout than last year.
14at Tampa BayWJosh Freeman is shake and Stevie has proven he can beat Revis. Close game, but I think we can win.
15at JacksonvilleWThe one slam dunk of a game on our schedule. The one game that can make me look stupid as well.
16vs MiamiWI am going with the home and home split for this series. Again I don’t see the Dolphins being that much better than us.
17at New EnglandLEven if the Pats rest Brady for the playoffs, a Reactive Belichek will still outcoach Marrone.

The wheelhouse for me is in between 6-8 wins for us. I dont see us winning more than eight and even that amount is being a little ambitious. I dont see us winning over eight and under six. Either way, with the new staff, system, and QB in line, this season is definitely one of the most intriguing through out the span of our playoff drought.

2013 NHL Mock Draft 1

With the Draft Lottery already determined, and the NHL Playoffs blazing through the second round, here is my first ever attempt at doing a mock draft of any sort. Once the entire draft order is decided, I will come out with an additional mock draft. Let's see how this goes. Feel free to reply and discuss.

Order Team Player Why
1 Colorado Seth Jones - D As much as Colorado doesn’t want us to think it, this is a slam dunk.
2 Florida Nathan MacKinnon - C Stock up on a safe pick here. Good compliment to Huberdeau.
3 Tampa Bay Jonathan Drouin - LW Adding Drouin to the likes of St. Louis, Stamkos, Lecavlier, Hedman, and Purcell makes the Lightning a solid G away from being Pittsburgh South.
4 Nashville Aleksander Barkov - C Getting a young C like Barkov will have Nashville in contention in no time.
5 Carolina Elias Lindholm - C This is a safer pick than the next one, and the Hurricanes play it safe.
6 Calgary Valery Nichushkin - RW He would be a slam dunk, but Nichushkin is under contract in the KHL for two more years.
7 Edmonton Rasmus Ristolainen - D I cannot fathom Edmonton drafting Offense here. I think they go with the big D to start solidifying their line.
8 Buffalo Sean Monahan - C It is between Monahan and Shinkaruk. I think Darcy goes with the size and tries again to hit on a solid pick up the middle.
9 New Jersey Hunter Shinkaruk - LW Sniper with a lot of offense and a lot of upside. People could start to forget about another sniper that moved to Minnesota.
10 Dallas Frederik Gauthier - C Two way center that will have fans excited over his size and skill
11 Philadelphia Darnell Nurse - D Tough rugged D on a team known to have tough rugged D. Seems like a match made in Philly Heaven and NHL Hell.
12 Phoenix Anthony Mantha - RW Big strong forward and hard to get off the puck.
13 Winnepeg Max Domi - C The Jets already have a scrappy C in Evander Kane. Make it two with Domi. Yikes.
14 Columbus Ryan Pulock - D Jack Johnson, Ryan Murray, Ryan Pulock…..solid young D core for a team finally heading in the right direction
